Our Mission

Our Mission

Our mission is to contribute to the development of a healthier, more engaged and better informed population.

The George & Angelina Owusu Foundation firmly believes in working with local communities to bring about lasting change. Whether in education or healthcare sectors, our programs are aimed at supplementing rather than replacing governmental efforts, and we work in close collaboration to achieve our collective goal.

The George & Angelina Owusu Foundation hopes for a world, where parents can afford to give their children a future and where children don't die of curable illnesses. We can do our part, however small, from Ghana. We believe that if we all work together, we can help give those everyone in our community a future with hope.

For many Ghanaians, access to reliable and affordable healthcare is is non-existent.  The overwhelming poverty, the lack of properly administered hospitals and  scarcity of physicians and nurses in the country all contribute to make a trip to the hospital something that people avoid.

The Owusu Foundation's focus on education is to encourage primary education for every child as the bedrock for building a successful future. To this end, we will strive to ensure that there are quality facilities, accessible resources and support for education professionals in every part of the country to help collectively build comumnities.

We believe that access to basic education  and healthcare are fundamental rights and not a privilege.
We are engaged in providing infrastructure for health facilities of excellence to establish themselves. We are also working to create initiatives that will encourage Ghanaians to take an active role in the primary health of themselves and their families.

Working collaboratively with organizations that share our values and vision, we believe that we lead a revolutionary change in the field of healthcare in Ghana.
